Our Vision

We believe that by empowering Guatemalans and leading by positive example, we can break the negative cycles of abuse, alcoholism, addictions, poor nutrition, poverty, and illiteracy in Sumpango, Guatemala.

Our vision is that this generation of Sumpango will grow with God, have a prosperous life, and become agents of change to break negative cycles for future generations.

Building

 Home Building

Cost: $2,500 builds a home for a family in need

Family Contribution: $400 and participation in construction

Current Waiting List: Over 150 families

Since 2014, we’ve built over 250 homes for families in need in Sumpango. Families that live in inadequate housing can request a home and go on our waiting list. The family is required to own their own land and contribute towards their home financially and by working alongside the masons as it is being constructed. This personal investment gives the family pride in their home.

Education

 Education and Skills Development

Cost: 8$2,000 sponsors a child’s education for one year

Coverage: School fees, tutoring, uniforms, supplies, transportation, lunch, and snack

Current Impact: Over 30 children receiving support

Creciendo Juntos (Growing Together)
Created in 2015, this program supports families by covering all expenses of sending their children to school and providing additional support like tutoring and meals.

Job Skills Training Center
Completed in 2020, our Training Center houses offices, classrooms, and multipurpose rooms for teaching job skills such as sewing, cooking, mechanics, computer skills, and English.

Initiative

 Bunk Bed Initiative

Cost: $400 per bunk bed

Program Includes: Educational seminars for parents on alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, value of education, healthy living, and God’s love


Since 2014, our Healthy Family Bunkbed Project has provided over 1,500 children with their own beds. This initiative aims to reduce the risk of abuse and provide dignity and personal space for children.

Community

 Community Center Project

Currently under construction, this multi-purpose facility will include:

Large gathering spaces for community events
 Dormitories for visiting missionaries
 Rentable rooms, classrooms, and meeting spaces
 Parking for our fleet of buses

The center aims to generate sustainable income for the mission while serving community needs.
